Goals seem to have been one of the most favoured discussion topics this week - and we aren't talking about football here! Meanwhile, seems that the dark days are over for HollyMichelle who is doing well at the poker tables and blogging all about it.

Various topics on goals were opened this week and one coming from the Beginners section of the forum summarizes them all, in a way, with the simple question - is a goal a good or a bad thing? has put a question mark above one of the more important, yet often disregarded elements of poker and now, it is up to the PokerStrategy.com community to come up with an answer.
Different advices and points of view have already been shared by PokerStrategists in the hottest thread of this week, however, such a vast topic will certainly be explored even further in the days to come, so don't hesitate to join the discussion.

Contrary to the title of this week's round-up, there are no bad things to be found in here - so with the lack of bad, the next logical choice was something dark - and there you have it, guilty as charged, we bring you the great story of hollymichelle.
Don't be fooled by his nickname, as HollyMichelle is actually Gary, a 26 years old native of Republic of Ireland. He has an 8 month daughter, a full time job and most importantly for us - a poker blog. If you are the type of reader who falls for statistics, nice and clean updates and everything else that goes along with it, then don't hesitate to check out Gary's blog, as it'll be worth your time - especially if you are a micro stakes player.

New Community Members this Week
Our unofficial, highly secret and potentially non-existent and entirely fictional person in charge of counting new members has resigned this week due to, we quote, "Not even Andy Bloch could keep track of these numbers, there is just an insane number of newcomers, at least a dozen too many for me to preserve my sanity."

Performances of the Week
There were some great performances this week from our members, as they recorded numerous finishes among top 6 or higher in various tournaments. However, we also saw PokerStrategists crown their efforts, namely akwed invested roughly 300 hours to build his bankroll up from $50 to $5,000. You can find the most notable performances of this week below:
- nitaidean finished 6th in a $3+$0.30 tournament for $2,708.82.
- phixedgear finished 2nd in a $1k GTD on 888 for $150.
- mikeyh finished 2nd in "The Ferguson" $1 HORSE on FTP for $104.
- akwed built his bankroll from from $50 to $5,000 in five months.
One Million in a Year - Total Winnings (Week 10): $130.097,75
We have awoken a sleeping giant. Well ok, the person we are talking about probably isn't your usual 10-meter tall giant, but his efforts in the past month are certainly appreciated. Prowling around the forum topics under his nickname geoelt, he has now added over $14k winnings for the past month to our One Million in a Year goal.
Other members did their share of the hard work for this week's major progress as well. In total, we added over $19,000 this week, thus making a nice looking swing upwards towards the red line of the Season 2, which is still hovering above us for the time being. If you wish to help us reach the $1 million goal, don't hesitate to post your tournament winnings in the forum thread.
