Community Round-up: The Greatest Gun Has Fallen
Leslie Nielsen may have not been Billy the Kid senior, but he certainly was the greatest gun in Hollywood. Better known for his act in the Naked Gun film series, he is no longer with us, though he will certainly be remembered by many, including the PokerStrategy.com community which has opened a thread dedicated to him.

Thread of the Week
They say it's all about poker ("they" being those voices in your head until you realize it's actually your upstairs neighbours chattering), well it's time to drop the cards for a moment and pay a visit to a thread opened by PokerStrategist alejandrosh. Sadly, the thread is dedicated to honouring and keeping the memory of the recently passed away actor Leslie Nielsen.
Best known as detective Frank Drebin in the Naked Gun film series, he entertained the whole world and made us all laugh. In case you are not familiar with his work or wish to enjoy another moment of your time watching some of the legendary scenes, stop by in the thread of this week.
Poker Blog of the Week
Two PokerStrategists have decided to put their stamina to a test and blog all about it. One of them is a sick Russian grinder, which kind of fits this challenge perfectly, while the other is a poor student - meaning what he lacks in the sickness department, he makes up for in the lack of hope that he will win the challenge. (question marks floating in your head? rightfully so, you're perfectly sane, have no worries)
With a bit mild Slovak version of Rocky Balboa played by theshade and the typical Russian machine Ivan Drago version of a poker grinder played by noemoti0n, we are more than set for two weeks of following a quite refreshing challenge.

Winter is approaching and everything is turning white, though in the case of PokerStrategy.com, we are still pretty much keeping it colourful. Naturally, we are speaking of various newcomers to our community, hailing from all parts of the world.
Their backgrounds are no less different either, as some have had great success in live poker and are yet to establish a foothold in the online realm, while others have not had that much success in poker, but have turned profit elsewhere to sponsor their "conquer the poker tables" campaign.

Performances of the Week
It has been a crazy week. Some PokerStrategists have secured themselves hefty cash prizes in various tournaments, whereas others put on a blindfold and charged into the sea of fish, hackin' and slashin' their way through in an impressive, yet highly risky way. Below are some of the most notable achievements of our members this week:
- won a £330 live tournament for £7,250.
- ozsa's feeling proud 'n' happy of his performance in November.
- fastliketiger went on a risky run resulting in a sick heater from $50 to $1,000 (don't try this at home).
- bubalus finished 2nd in a €2.50 rebuy tournament for €899.
- jass1960 cashed in multiple tournaments for a total of $2,805.30.
One Million in a Year - Total Winnings (Week 15): $247,216.63
The past week was one of the best in the third edition of the One Million in a Year challenge. Besides several big cashes from our community members, there were also numerous grinders reporting their winnings in a dozen smaller tournaments as well. Overall, we added more than $19,000 this week and keep on cruising well-above our progress line in the previous season.
