Did you predict the Spain vs Netherlands result?

In his Community Weekly Round-Up Barry Carter asks how you are doing with our predictions promotion and wants to know who you are tipping this week.

Van PersieWow, how good has Brazil been so far? I don't even mind the fact that England lost, pretty much every match has been thoroughly entertaining.

What about that epic Spain vs Netherlands match? When the Netherlands went 2-1 up I decided to bet on them to win the whole thing, they were at 25-1, but by the time I had got money in my sportsbook account they were 12-1 to become World Champions.

I would be amazed if anyone predicted that score correctly in our KickTipp Promotion.

And what a blow-up by Portugal against Germany, in what should have been one of the most competitive matches of the group games.

I wasn't all that impressed with Brazil or Argentina so far, which leads me to think that it is going to be a European team that will win the whole thing. What do you think?

At the time of writing the member to beat is 13zero13 who has 35 points after picking five correct scores. Right behind him is sdk1987 on 33 and then four players on 32. There is still very much everything to play for, check out how you are doing with our League Table.

So I am all gearing up for England vs Uruguay this week. It sucks that this is now a must-win match for both teams, and it also sucks that Costa Rica look like a solid team. However, I predict a convincing 2-0 win for England (And if we lose, don't talk to me).

Funnily enough, the other big match from the second bunch of group games that interests me is USA vs Portugal. The USA are on a high, and Portugal are on a real low - could we see a massive upset in that game?

Don't forget to get your own predictions in for these upcoming matches in our KickTipp Promotion - and let me know your thoughts on England vs Uruguay in the comments box.

Thread of the week

TellsThis is a sneak peak of a free book excerpt we have coming later this week.

Are tells really a big part of the modern game? Zach Elwood thinks so, so much so in fact he has written two books on the subject - one about physical tells and one about verbal tells.

Zach has kindly agreed to answer your questions on tells from our community forum, and the best three questions will win his new book.

So get asking, don't be shy.
