PokerStrategy Community Round-up
Welcome to the news round-up for the English Community (#3). Each week, EagleStar88 will keep you in touch with some of the most important threads within the forum together with some of the fun posts, so that you never need to miss them.
Our Community Round-up is your weekly source for all that happens inside the PokerStrategy forums. If you missed something last week and you still want to be in touch with our community, here are some of the most important posts. This is just one of many community-related projects being set up.
PokerStrategy.com Pokerhand Converter allows users to convert and store hand histories online and also enables easy sharing with fellow community members within the forum.
Another useful feature is that you are able to watch a video replay of your hand as it unfolded and best of all it's free of charge to all our community members, yeah baby!
For full details, see the following detailed news announcement.
thebu11d0g is often seen welcoming new community members and helping them with their questions. His new blog Bu11d0g's SSS Adventure: NL20+ has already started with a great introduction, clear well laid our goals and highlights the importance of continued learning or "Going back to school" as thebu11d0g puts it.
We all wish him well on his journey and eagerly look forward to the next installment.
By the way, just loving "The Poker Donkey Song" Steve, a classic in the making.
nivekii was curious as to what different jobs community members do and has already had a tremendous response from members across many different career paths. From Students to Managing Directors, from Science & Technology to Nature & Forestry and from Skiing Coaches to Firefighters, we're certaintly a diverse lot. I haven't seen any Tinkers, Tailors, Soldiers or Sailors yet, but we've almost got enough for a song.
The following hand posted by dragar caught my eye this week, whilst originally posted a couple of weeks ago, think it's still worth highlighting, but I warn you now, it's not pretty. If you suffer from a nervous disposition, look away now!

And I quote "Guys you played better poker than the Spanish community but had worst luck."
We very much appreciate your honesty biglion and thank you also for your best wishes to us for the forthcoming events. We would also like to thank you for sharing in the friendly banter and wish you & your fellow community members good luck in the next tournament this Sunday.
The English Community are out for the win this weekend, but needs the help from it's members. We need as many members as possible to enter, ideally forming new teams of between 5 & 7 players to entitle them to gain points, but if you prefer, you can also play from the "community team". To find out more details and to enter for a possible free staking, please see the following threads:

Two Funnies to finish on this week:
Thanks to royalfish2 for sharing the following with us (click on the picture or here to view within the forum), had me in stitches remembering similar players I've encountered recently.
And secondly, yes that nice man & resident captions contest guru thebrood has done it again, posting another potential classic for us to have a go at. Post your entries in this thread.
Thanks to 8979687, slikec, & radyan111 for providing feedback in the feedback thread last week and to the many more than provided comments on the news item itself. I always read & greatly appreciate all your feedback.
Just to emphasise, this is your Community Round-up page and whilst I try to browse most forum threads looking for points of interest, it's of course not possible to cover everything. So if you see something that you think fellow community members would be interested in, drop me a link to it or add your suggestions/thoughts in this feedback thread.
You think it or see it, I write it, together we share it!
