New Top100 Rake Race. Plus 5 New Races Starting in January

Our exclusive StrategyPoints rake race receives a makeover in 2013 due to bwin.party not participating in it. Also January brings you 5 additional new rake races and we have analysed how much you would need to rake to win a prize.

//cdn-origin.pokerstrategy.com/2012/12/30/top250-teaser-final-2012-12.jpgStarting from January 1, 2013, the new $25,000 Top100 Rake Race will replace the old Top250 Rake Race.

Just like the Top250, the Top100 is an exclusive race for our members with prizes awarded to the players who earn the most StrategyPoints in a month through one of our participating poker rooms (See full list below).

The prize pool is now $25,000 and the top 100 players get paid.

The payout tiers have changed slightly (right) and on average it will take less StrategyPoints to achieve them, meaning it is easier to claim a big prize.

We analysed the last 12 months and compared the actual Top250 results with what players would have gotten from the new Top100.

The results show that the new Top100 rake race is softer. You need less StrategyPoints to hit the same/a similar prize level and the overall valueback has increased.

The two graphs show you how many StrategyPoints on average were needed to make it to the prize levels and what this means for you in terms of valueback (based on 5 StrategyPoints per $ rake)

You now would have to earn much less on average for the top prizes
