Another tournament victory: lotsoflove takes home Party 8K rebuy for $2.300

After hbiagi's last weeks first place victory in the Titan 10K GTD and several good finishes from other members of our English community forum - anther one of our international members take home an impressive first place victory.

If one glances into the our successes board of the English forum one can find several good finishes among our members. DaAcemanAA, Simis, Taswell, DarkNeo1 and 07SAA07 all managed to land impressive cashes in recent tournaments during the last 7 days. Congratulations to all of you. Today though we would like to congratulate lotsoflove who managed to win $2.300 for placing first in the 8K GTD $2 rebuy on Party.

PokerStrategy: Congratulations! Please- tell us about yourself. Shed some light onto the person behind this victory.
lotsoflove: Hello, my name is Jamie Grandy and im from Grand Bank, Newfoundland in Canada. I started playing poker about 2 years ago and got introduced to PokerStrategy by a friend of mine who is also a member here. After playing around on Party Poker a bit over the last couple of days trying to clear the bonus with the provided starting capital and having a few minor wins here and there I came across the 2$ rebuy and decided to give it a shot.

PokerStrategy: So you mainly play tournaments or also cashgames?

lotsoflove: Yes, I definitely consider myself a tournament player and can mostly be found playing SNGs and MTTs.

PokerStrategy: So tell us about the tournament.
lotsoflove: Well the tournament took its course as any tournament does with ups and downs. Can't really recall any defining hands, although the last hand was quite interesting. I was chipleader with 12 million chips and my opponent had 7 million. Blinds were at 75K/150K and I looked down at J3o. We saw the flop without any raises - and he bet out 450K on a J/rag/rag board. I flat called and the turn brought me a 3 of hearts for two pair. Since there were no flushes or straights possible I was quite sure to hold the best hand and re-raised his 1,5 million bet all-in thinking that he was probably holding a jack with a decent kicker. He quickly called with JT and didn't get any help on the river.

PokerStrategy: Nice hand 🙂 How does it feel to reel in such a big victory? Any future plans?

lotsoflove: It feels nice to win that kind of money with PokerStrategy and I'm hoping to continue my early sucess and just keep playing. I play about 6-8 hours a day but my job as deep sea fisherman only allows me to play for half the year, since im out at the the other half.

PokerStrategy: Well then I guess we can only wish you good luck in future tournaments! Anything else?

lotsoflove: Good luck to all those other PokerStrategy players out there!

So there you have it. Another nice victory on behalf of our international community. Last time from Brazil this time from Canada.
