Saturday morning is a peculiar time of the poker week. For recreational players it is time when they are curing hangovers after a week of regular work and Friday drinking in the pub. For professional poker players on the contrary - Saturday often is first day of work - those guys and girls will be grinding all weekend.

Poker Week Highlights
The most prestigious online festival - The World Championship of Online Poker - is at its peak. It may not be as exotic as the festival in our quiz, but still it's very attractive to watch.
Last week we witnessed a few new records. Doug 'WCGRider' Polk set a new Twitch stream cash record where he won $455k in 8-Max High Roller, Dan Kelly won a record fifth WCOOP title, but maybe most impressive of all was a record set in the secondary mini-WCOOP festival. A French nurse from Prague - 'Ethanolol' - took down two mini-WCOOP titles at the same time!
We have good news for those who love poker themed movies and series. They will be delighted to learn a US sitcom about online poker is coming soon. The trailers look promising.

What's your name: Laura Cintra
How old are you: 24 year old
Where do you live: I'm from Birigui, a small town in São Paulo Brasil, but now I live in Santos, an awesome city by the beach.
When did you start to play poker: I grew up in a very small town. I worked very hard and tried different kinds of jobs and enterprises until I found poker. I started playing as a hobby at first, but then my mother found out about it and started prohibiting me from playing.
She thought that playing poker is inappropriate for decent people, especially girls. She compared it to other bad and immoral things (you can imagine what things!). I tried to convince her and show her that poker is actually a sport and could also be a profession.
In spite of my efforts, she didn't change her mind and started to cut my money and eventually threw me out. I could no longer count on my family's support so I began to depend on poker and marketing for a living. I've been playing for one year already and I'm totally on my own.
What is your biggest poker success: I'm not a pro player yet. Best result so far is a R$15k (15,000 Brazilian reals = 4,500 USD) at a high roller here in Santos. But I'm sure that the best is yet to come!
Who is you poker idol: I have local idols. Zilkar Baranow lately has been the icon for me. He has not only great results but also awesome work ethic and lifestyle.
What is you poker player virtue: I'm a very hard working person - I work every day to achieve my A-game. I study at least three hours a day and play online from 8 to 10 hours a day. I workout and have special training to play live tournaments too.
What is poker for you: Poker is a great sport and like any other sport can be a profession or a hobby, depending on a person. For me it's a fantastic job.
What is your poker dream: I create videos on YouTube.com to make it clear to everyone, including my mother, that poker is not gambling but a mind sport, like chess.
I want to clarify that poker can be played by women as well as by men. There should be no prejudice about it since poker is a sport like any other. In fact both men and women can compete together on equal terms.
It's hard sometimes because there is still prejudice, and some guys can be really rude and disrespectful, but we women must show our competence by playing rather then arguing.
