CO Pre-flop Ranges
In this lesson, you will find the pre-flop ranges for playing from the cut off in a No-Limit 6-max game. You will be introduced to an open raising range and find out how to proceed with it after you have been 3-bet by a player sitting behind you. Why these ranges?
Your open raising size (2.5BB) is a little smaller than from UTG and MP (3BB each). This makes your steals more profitable as you risk less to win the blinds.
Especially from the CO it is advised to tailor your open raising range specifically to the players behind you. If they are not very likely to call or 3-bet, you can open raise even more hands. Considering the button's 3-bet range of 8-12%, you should have both a 4-bet and a call range against his 3-bets.
Your call 3-bet range should be wider against the blinds than against the button due to your positional advantage.
